Adrianus Windig

Adrianus (Ad) Windig (1912–1996) was a Dutch documentary photographer noted for his evocative captures of daily life and historical events in the Netherlands. Inspired by the 'Foto '37' exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in the early 1940s, Windig began documenting the reality of Dutch society. His portfolio includes a wide range of subjects, from industrial reports and portraits to landscape photography and wartime documentation, particularly focusing on Amsterdam.
