Albert Ehrismann

author

Albert Ehrismann (1908–1998) was a Swiss writer and poet who first debuted in 1930 with the collection 'Lächeln auf dem Asphalt'. Born into modest circumstances in Zürich, he worked as an accountant before turning to literature. His work is characterized by its lyrical depth and diverse literary forms, including poetry, plays, radio plays, and essays. He was a regular contributor to satirical magazines like 'Nebelspalter', where his politically left-leaning heart often influenced his commentary on current events.
