Alessandra Sanguinetti

Alessandra Sanguinetti is an American photographer known for her lyrical and softly-drawn imagery that explores themes of memory, place, and psychological transitions. Born in New York City in 1968, she moved to Argentina at age two and lived there until 2003. She studied anthropology at the University of Buenos Aires before pursuing photography studies at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. Sanguinetti became a member of Magnum Photos in 2007. Her notable works include 'The Adventures of Guille and Belinda' (a long-term documentary project), 'On the Sixth Day' (exploring farm life in Argentina), and 'Some Say Ice'. She has received numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Hasselblad Foundation grant.[1,2,3]
