André de Dienes

André de Dienes (born Andor György Ikafalvi-Dienes) was a Hungarian-American photographer renowned for his work in fashion and nude photography. Born in 1913 in what is now Romania, he moved to Paris in 1933 to study art before relocating to the United States in 1938. He worked for prominent publications including Vogue, Life, and Esquire. Dienes is most famously remembered for his extensive portraiture of Marilyn Monroe during her early career as a model and actress, as well as his artistic explorations into surrealism and nude photography. His work has received significant critical attention in recent decades, with major monographs published by Taschen.[1,2]
