Andreas Baur is a German art historian and museum director. He served as the long-time director of the Villa Merkel (Galerie der Stadt Esslingen) in Esslingen am Neckar for nearly 22 years until his retirement in late 2020. His work focuses on contemporary art, museography, and art criticism. He has curated numerous exhibitions and publications, often focusing on international contemporary art and its intersection with history and architecture.[1,2]
