Andreas Fischer is a German photographer, filmmaker, and author born in 1961 in Troisdorf. He studied film science, ethnology, and psychology in Cologne and Berlin between 1984 and 1992. Since 1982, he has been active as a documentary and short film producer for cinema and television. Fischer is also an artist and researcher who has worked extensively in museum practices, notably serving as an exhibition curator. He was the primary conceptual designer of the major 1997 exhibition 'Im Reich der Phantome: Fotografie des Unsichtbaren' (In the Realm of Phantoms: Photography of the Invisible), which explored mediumistic photography and artistic explorations of the invisible.^[1,2]
