Bart Stuyf (1944–2023) was a Dutch dancer, choreographer, and artist. He began his career as a modern dancer in the Netherlands in 1961 before moving to New York in 1968 to study with Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham. Upon returning to Amsterdam, he founded the Stichting Multi Media (Multi Media Foundation) and led various movement theater groups, including Bewegingstheater Bart Stuyf and Bewegingsgroep Bart Stuyf. He was a pioneer of postmodern dance in the Netherlands alongside his brother Koert Stuyf. In later years, he moved to the United States and became an artist working with copper and other materials, capturing movement in nature and animals.[1,2]
