Belinda Rathbone

Belinda Rathbone is an American art historian and biographer. She began her career as a photographer in the early 1970s, winning awards at the Boston Center for the Arts' Photovision '72 contest. She later transitioned into curatorial work, holding positions at the Boston Public Library, Polaroid Corporation, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Rathbone has specialized in photography history and biography, authoring numerous works including 'Walker Evans: A Biography' (1995) and 'The Boston Raphael' (2014). She is known for her scholarly contributions to the study of 20th-century American photography and art history.[1]
