Bernard Plossu

Bernard Plossu is a French travel photographer born in 1945 in Vietnam. He began his photographic journey in 1958 with travels to the Sahara and later spent significant time photographing in Mexico (1965-1966), California (1967-1977), and New Mexico (1977-1985). In 1975, during African travels, he developed a simplified 'styleless' photographic approach using a 50mm lens on a 35mm camera. He returned to France in 1985 and has since lived in La Ciotat. His work is characterized by its focus on landscapes, travel, and the observation of light and space across various regions including Africa, Mexico, Andalusia, and Europe.[1,2]
