Bert Verhoeff

Bert Verhoeff is a Dutch photographer who gained recognition for his work in photojournalism and long-term artistic projects. He began his career as an apprentice photojournalist at the Anefo agency in 1969 and later worked for various newspapers, including De Volkskrant, where he served as head of the photo department from 2000 to 2002. In 2004, he transitioned from news photography to long-term projects focusing on the Dutch landscape and society, often characterized by a slightly ironic perspective. He has been an initiator in several photographic organizations and served as a lecturer at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague from 2003 to 2009.[1,2]
