Bill Burke is an American photographer and artist known for his large-format portraits and documentary photography. He gained recognition in the 1980s for his seminal photobooks documenting Southeast Asia, particularly Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime. His work often weaves personal narratives—such as divorce and domestic crisis—with broader themes of war, tragedy, and political devastation.
