Carole Kismaric

Carole Kismaric (1942–2002) was an American author, photo editor, and curator. She is noted for her work in documentary photography and non-fiction literature, particularly focusing on human rights and historical subjects. Her notable works include 'Forced Out: The Agony of the Refugee in Our Time' (1989), which she developed, edited, and produced for Human Rights Watch and the J.M. Kaplan Fund. She also authored several books on photography and cultural history, such as 'Andre Kertesz' and 'The Photography Catalog'.[1,2]
