Catherine de Zegher

Catherine de Zegher is a Belgian curator, art critic, and modern and contemporary art historian. She holds a degree in art history and archaeology from the University of Ghent. Her career includes directorships at the Kunststichting Kanaal (1988–1998), The Drawing Center in New York (1999–2006), the Art Gallery of Ontario (2007–2009), and the Museum of Fine Arts, Ghent (2013–2018). She is known for curating large-scale international exhibitions that challenge mainstream models of art history and promote feminist aesthetics. She was a member of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts starting in 2014.[1,2]
