Chris Boot is a prominent British photography curator, book publisher, and editor. He has held significant leadership roles in the photography world, serving as the Director of both the London and New York offices of Magnum Photos from 1990 to 1998. He also served as the Editorial Director of Photography at Phaidon Press and was the Executive Director of the Aperture Foundation in New York from 2011 to 2021. In 2001, he founded his own photography book publishing house, Chris Boot Ltd. He has published over 50 photobooks, many of which are critically acclaimed and have received prestigious awards, including ICP Infinity Awards. His work often focuses on documentary photography, human rights, and historical archives, curating significant collections that explore the narrative power of visual storytelling.[1,2,3,4]
