Luc Delahaye

Luc Delahaye is a French photographer known for his large-scale color works depicting conflicts, world events, and social issues. He began his career as a photojournalist in 1986, reporting from conflict zones such as Lebanon, Afghanistan, Rwanda, and Chechnya. Joining Magnum Photos in 1994, he worked for international publications including Newsweek, Life, and Paris Match. In the early 2000s, Delahaye shifted towards a more autonomous, conceptually driven artistic practice, utilizing large-format cameras to create 'documents-monuments' of history. His work is characterized by a documentary approach combined with dramatic intensity. He has received numerous awards, including the Robert Capa Gold Medal (twice), the Oskar Barnack Award, the Infinity Award, and the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize.[1,2,3]
