Christina Natlacen

Christina Natlacen is an art and media theorist specializing in the history, theory, and aesthetics of photography and film. Her research methodology is oriented towards Cultural Studies, utilizing visual material from art, popular culture, and science. She has held various academic positions, including a role as a junior professor for Media and Cultural Sciences at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (2013–2019) and a position at the University of Siegen (2010–2013). Her research interests include private practices of photography, postcard studies, and visual media history. She has conducted research at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam as part of the Manfred & Hannah Heiting Scholarship for the History of Photography.[1]
