Constantin Brâncuși
photographer
Constantin Brâncuși (1876–1957) was a Romanian sculptor, painter, and photographer who became one of the most influential figures in modern abstract sculpture. Born in Hobița, Romania, he moved to Paris in 1904, where he established his studio and produced much of his life's work. Brâncuși is renowned for his radical engagement with form and material, often simplifying objects to their essential geometric shapes. He was also a talented experimental photographer who used the medium both as documentation of his sculptures and as an independent artistic expression, believing that only his own photographs could convey the emotional exchange between himself and his creations.[2]
