Cristina García Rodero is a prominent Spanish photographer known for her documentary work capturing the persistence of rural traditions and religious rites in Spain. She joined Magnum Photos in 2005 and became a full member in 2009. Her work often explores the intersection of traditional culture, religious devotion, and profane celebrations. In 2013, she was elected as a Full Academician for the Section of New Image Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. She is also known for her extensive publications on Spanish festivals and rituals.[1,2,3,4]
