Dale Maharidge

Dale Maharidge is an American journalist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author. He is known for his extensive documentary work on social issues in the United States, particularly poverty and the lives of marginalized populations. His notable works include 'Journey to Nowhere: The Saga of the New Underclass' (1985), which inspired Bruce Springsteen, and 'And Their Children After Them' (1989), a study of Depression-era sharecroppers that won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 1990.
