Michael S. Williamson is an American photojournalist and photographer who has spent over three decades documenting social justice issues and global conflicts. He became a staff photographer for The Washington Post in 1993. His work is characterized by its intimate and poignant exploration of poverty, homelessness, and the plight of refugees. Williamson won two Pulitzer Prizes: one shared with Dale Maharidge in 1990 for their book 'And Their Children After Them', and another in 2000 for his coverage of the Kosovo War.
