David Featherstone

David Featherstone is an American author, critic, and photographer who has been a prominent figure in the photography community since the late 1970s. Born in Iowa City, Iowa, he began his long-standing professional association with 'The Friends of Photography' in Carmel, California, in 1977, where he served as an executive associate and director of publications. He is a prolific scholar of documentary photography, responsible for editing and authoring numerous seminal works, including 'Observations: Essays on Documentary Photography' (1984), 'The Diana Show' (1980), and 'Close to Home: Seven Documentary Photographers' (1989).
