Deborah Bell

Deborah Bell is a photography historian, dealer, and gallerist. A native of Minnesota, she received a BFA in Photography from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (1976) and an MA in Art History from Hunter College (1984). Her career includes roles as a professional photographer, black-and-white printer, studio assistant for Irving Penn, and head of the Photographs Department at Christie's New York (2011–2013). She founded Deborah Bell Photographs in 1988 and has been a prominent figure in the fine art photography market.[3,4]
