Gerard Petrus Fieret (1924–2009) was a Dutch artist, poet, and photographer known for his subversive and experimental approach to the photographic medium. A pioneer of photography as an autonomous visual art form in the Netherlands, he focused on subjects such as women, children, street scenes, and self-portraiture. His work is characterized by its sensual interaction with subjects and technical experimentation, including solarization, double exposure, and scratching negatives using a reflex Praktica camera.[1,2]
