Deborah Wye

Deborah Wye is an American art historian and curator who served as the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Chief Curator of Prints and Illustrated Books at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. She joined MoMA's staff in 1979 as an assistant curator and eventually became chief curator in 1996, overseeing one of the most comprehensive collections of modern prints in the world. Wye organized numerous significant exhibitions, including 'American Prints 1960-85' (1987) and 'Redon's Legacy: Contemporary Prints' (1986). She retired from her chief curator position on September 1, 2010, but continues to work with the museum in a consultative role. Her expertise includes modern prints, illustrated books, and the works of artists such as Louise Bourgeois.[1,2,3]
