Elizabeth Ann Brown

Elizabeth A. Brown is an independent scholar, educator, and consultant specializing in contemporary art and the history of photography. She has held several prominent curatorial positions, including serving as Chief Curator and Director of Exhibitions & Collections at the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle (2000-2011), following roles at the Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin College, and the University Art Museum at UC Santa Barbara. Brown has curated over 50 exhibitions and published numerous exhibition catalogues and books on photography, including works on Constantin Brancusi and Kiki Smith. She earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her M.A., M. Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in the history of art from Columbia University.[1]
