Emilio Brizzi

Italian[1] b. 1962, Parma, Italy[1] active 1982–present

Emilio Brizzi is an Italian-born professional photographer who has been based in Amsterdam since 1988. He began his career in 1982 assisting industrial and commercial photographers in Italy before moving to the Netherlands. His work often focuses on urban landscapes, specifically the city of Amsterdam, which he describes as one of his favorite subjects. Brizzi is known for capturing 'still moments' of the city without people in the frame, often using a pseudo-19th-century aesthetic or sepia tones. He has published several photobooks about Amsterdam and collaborates on conceptual photography projects, such as the Pijffers-Brizzi collection.[1,2,3]
