Frank Horvat (1928–2020) was an Italian photographer who lived and worked primarily in France. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to fashion photography between the mid-1950s and late 1980s. His work is characterized by a focus on realism, often capturing women in natural settings rather than highly stylized environments. Horvat's career began in photojournalism in Paris during the 1950s, where he was influenced by humanist photography before transitioning to fashion for publications such as Elle, Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar. He also produced personal projects exploring nature, sculpture, and urban landscapes.
