George Eastman

George Eastman (1854–1932) was a prominent American entrepreneur, inventor, and philanthropist. He founded the Eastman Kodak Company and is widely credited with revolutionizing the photographic industry by introducing mass-produced roll film and the first hand-held Kodak camera. His innovations made photography accessible to the general public for the first time. Beyond his business success, he was a significant benefactor of the arts, particularly in Rochester, New York, where he left a lasting cultural legacy including the Eastman House and the Eastman School of Music.[1,2,3,4,5,6]
