Georges Charnaux

Georges Charnaux (1864–1939) was a Swiss photographer who took over the family business from his father, Joseph Florentin Charnaux, in 1881. Under his leadership, the firm became Charnaux Frères & Cie. He was primarily responsible for taking photographs of spectacular views of Mont Blanc and other major tourist sites in the Alps. His work in stereoscopic views and albumen prints gained significant renown. The company also expanded into publishing landscape photography during the late 19th century.[1]
