Georgia O'Keeffe was a pioneering American modern artist known for her large-scale paintings of flowers and landscapes. She was a central figure in the Stieglitz circle and had a significant personal and professional relationship with Alfred Stieglitz, who championed her work in his galleries. O'Keeffe donated approximately 1,600 of Stieglitz's photographs to the National Gallery of Art, forming the basis for many publications on his life and work.[1,2]
