Giuseppe Zanini (1906–1996), also known by his pseudonym Nino Za, was a versatile Italian artist, writer, caricaturist, and art dealer. He began his career in the late 1920s as a caricaturist in theaters before establishing himself in Udine and later Rome. Zanini is widely recognized for his distinctive style of portrait caricature, particularly of cinema icons like Greta Garbo and Marilyn Monroe. Beyond his artistic work, he was an influential gallerist who opened the Galleria Zanini in Rome in 1955, where he promoted avant-garde Italian masters such as Giorgio de Chirico and Renato Guttuso. He also authored several works, including 'The Hamlyn Book of HOW' (1974), which serves as a reference for practical skills and general knowledge.[1,2]
