Hank O'Neal

Hank O'Neal is an American photographer and author born in Texas. He began his serious photographic practice in the early 1970s, notably working with Berenice Abbott for nineteen years. His career has spanned government, education, and music production, including producing over 200 LPs or CDs for Chiaroscuro Records and Hammond Music Enterprises. O'Neal is well-known for his landmark study of the Farm Security Administration photographers in 'A Vision Shared: A Classic Portrait of America and Its People 1935–1943'. He has also authored several monographs, including a biography of Berenice Abbott.[1,2]
