Henri Noverraz

author

Henri Noverraz (1915–2002) was a Swiss writer, poet, and painter. Born into a humble family in Villette, Switzerland, he was largely self-taught, famously only learning to read at the age of 16. Despite his difficult start in life, he became a significant figure in the Swiss artistic landscape, first signing a collection of poems in 1940. His work is often described as a 'distillation of sonorities,' reflecting his deep fascination with music and sound expressed through the mediums of literature and visual art. He is remembered for his unique contribution to Swiss poetry and his evocative style of painting.[1,2,3]
