Henriette Grindat

Henriette Grindat (1923–1986) was a prominent Swiss photographer, widely recognized as a key figure in artistic photography from the 1950s through the 1980s. She received her formal training at the School of Photography in Lausanne and later in Vevey, studying under the notable photographer Gertrude Fehr. In 1949, Grindat relocated to Paris, where her artistic development was deeply influenced by the Surrealist movement and her interactions with figures such as Man Ray and André Breton. Her body of work is characterized by a sensitive, humanist approach, often blending aesthetic beauty with profound emotional resonance. She was a laureate of the Swiss Federal Grant in 1952.[1,2,3]
