Herman van Goethem is a Belgian historian, jurist, and professor. He is primarily known for his work on the political history of Belgium and his role in museum management. His academic background includes studies in law at the University of Antwerp and history at the Universities of Antwerp and Leuven. He has authored several non-fiction works focusing on Flemish history, photography history, and the persecution of Jews during World War II.
