Ian Lambot
author
Ian Lambot is a British architect and photographer who lived in Hong Kong for 18 years starting in 1979. He trained as an architect in the United Kingdom and worked briefly for the Richard Rogers Partnership before moving to Hong Kong. During his time there, he ran an architectural model-making studio and collaborated with Foster and Partners on early stages of the Hongkong Bank project. Lambot is best known for his extensive photographic documentation of the Kowloon Walled City between 1985 and its demolition in 1994. He co-authored 'City of Darkness: Life in Kowloon Walled City' with photographer Greg Girard. He also established Watermark Publications, through which he has published numerous books on architecture and engineering.[1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9]
