Jan Debbaut

Jan Debbaut is a Belgian art historian and curator born in Temse. He has held significant curatorial and leadership positions, including serving as the curator and deputy director of the Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven (1977–1986) and as the Director General of the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels (1986–1989). He later served as the Director of Collections at Tate Britain. Debbaut is a professor in curatorial studies at the University of Groningen and has worked extensively on contemporary art exhibitions and publications.[1,2,3,4,5]
