Jaroslav Bárta

Jaroslav Bárta is a Czech photographer, publisher, and art educator. He studied film and artistic photography at FAMU, which he graduated from in 1973. He has worked as a freelance photographer and held various roles in the photographic community, including serving as the head of the Department of Photography at FAMU from 2002 to 2009. He is the founder of Studio JB in Lomnice nad Popelkou and is known for his extensive work in documentary and landscape photography, particularly projects that contrast historical visual records with contemporary reality, such as the book 'Letem českým světem' (1898-1998).[1]
