Jean Tourane

Jean Tourane (born Jean Briel) was a French filmmaker, photographer, painter, and politician. Initially active as an animal photographer and painter, he began producing films in the mid-1950s, notably creating several works featuring a duck character named Saturnin. He is widely recognized for creating the television series 'Les Aventures de Saturnin' starting in 1964. Beyond his artistic career, Tourane served as the mayor of Val-Saint-Germain and was notable for being one of the first mayors to support Coluche's presidential candidacy in 1981.[1,2]
