Johan de Vos is a Belgian writer, academic, photographer, and photo critic. Born in 1942 in Bruges, he studied Film and Photography at the Sint-Lucas Institute in Brussels. He served as the director of the Stedelijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Sint-Niklaas from 1989 to 2006. De Vos is well-known for his critical perspectives on photography and his contributions to various newspapers and magazines. He has authored several books on photography and has participated in numerous curatorial projects and photo exhibitions.[1,2]
