John Alexander Scott Coutts (1902–1962), known by the pseudonym John Willie, was a pioneering British artist, fetish photographer, and magazine publisher. Born in Singapore to a wealthy family, he moved to the UK as a child and later lived in Australia before settling in Montreal and New York. He is best known for publishing 'Bizarre' magazine (1945–1956), which featured his distinctive illustrations of characters like Sweet Gwendoline and his fetish photography. His work blended fantasy, humor, and refined style to redefine underground art and BDSM imagery in the 20th century. He died in Guernsey in 1962.[1,2]
