Jonas Bendiksen

Jonas Bendiksen is a Norwegian photojournalist based near Oslo. He was born in Tønsberg in 1977 and lived in Russia for several years, which inspired his first book, 'Satellites - Photographs from the Fringes of the former Soviet Union' (2006). His work often explores social transitions, slum communities, and conceptual photography. Bendiksen became a nominee for Magnum Photos in 2004 and joined as a member in 2008, eventually serving as its president in 2010. He has received numerous accolades from organizations including World Press Photo, the International Center of Photography, and Pictures of the Year International.[1,2]
