Josef Kroutvor

Josef Kroutvor is a Czech art historian, poet, essayist, and writer. He studied philosophy, history, and art history at the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. He worked for 30 years at the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague (Uměleckoprůmyslové muzeum v Praze) starting in 1970, where his research focused on the history of posters, art photography, design, architecture, and the sociology of culture. He is a recipient of the Jaroslav Seifert Prize (2022).
