Judith Belinfante

Judith Belinfante is a Dutch historian, writer, and former politician. Born in Voorburg in 1943 to a Jewish family, she studied modern history at the University of Amsterdam from 1962 to 1969. She began her career as a curator at the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam, where she was appointed director in 1976. Belinfante is known for her work on Jewish history and her personal narratives regarding life under the Nazi regime and its aftermath. Her writing often explores themes of shared human suffering, memory, and the complexities of historical identity.[1,3,4,5]
