Jutka Rona (born Judit Anna Róna) was a Dutch photographer and photojournalist of Hungarian origin. Born in Budapest in 1934 to Imre Rona, a journalist who fled political persecution and established the ABC Press agency in Amsterdam, she grew up in the Netherlands. She studied at the Fotovakschool in The Hague, focusing on social photography, news reportage, and theater photography. Throughout her career, she captured significant moments of Dutch history, including portraits of actors, writers, and politicians such as Willem Frederik Hermans and Harry Mulisch. Rona was also a notable owner of ABC Press from 1974 to 2003. Her artistic work often explored conceptual themes, exemplified by her project 'Wolvenstraat 1974', where she photographed the same street daily at specific times. She published numerous photobooks and is remembered for her versatile contribution to Dutch photography.[1,2,3,4,5]
