Katharina Eleonore Behrend (1888–1973) was a German-born Dutch photographer active primarily in the first three decades of the 20th century. She is recognized for her diverse photographic oeuvre, which includes family life in Germany and the Netherlands, temple ruins, and notable nude self-portraits. Her work is characterized by an interest in art history and aesthetic composition. After her death, her extensive archive was preserved within her family before being donated to the Stichting Nederlands Fotoarchief (Netherlands Photo Archive) in Leiden.[1,3,4]
