Kathy Acker was an American experimental novelist, poet, playwright, and performance artist known for her transgressive and postmodern writing style. Her work often explored themes of childhood trauma, sexuality, identity, and rebellion, frequently utilizing pastiche and the cut-up technique influenced by William S. Burroughs. She was a significant figure in the New Narrative movement of the late 1970s.[1,2,4]
