Kathy Eldon

Kathy Eldon is an American author, journalist, film and television producer, and creative activist. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she graduated from Wellesley College and has worked as a teacher, magazine editor, and media consultant across Kenya, England, and the United States. In 1993, her life was profoundly impacted by the death of her son, Dan Eldon, who was killed while working as a photojournalist in Somalia. Inspired by his legacy, she founded the Creative Visions Foundation in 1997 (with her daughter Amy) to promote creative activism. She has authored seventeen books, including memoirs and works on transformation and social change.[2,3,4]
