Kees Schaepman was a prominent Dutch journalist and editor. He began his career in 1976 as an editor for Vrij Nederland, where he remained until 1998 in various roles including reporter and editor-in-chief. In 1998, he became the editor-in-chief of the English-language monthly Transitions, based in Prague. He later served as deputy director of the School for Journalism in Utrecht and held several leadership positions at VPRO Radio. Schaepman was also a writer of numerous books on development cooperation, drugs, and journalism history. He died in 2022 at the age of 75.[1]
