Lars Tunbjörk (1956–2015) was a distinguished Swedish photographer celebrated for his distinctive, often deadpan approach to documenting contemporary Swedish life. Tunbjörk achieved a significant breakthrough in the early 1990s with his seminal project 'Landet utom sig' (Country Beside Itself), which captured the aesthetic and social nuances of Swedish society.
